Boy, this board was created just in time for me!! I have had a problem for about the past week (maybe a bit longer) where I cannot access hyperlinks. For instance, I just registered for MT Chitchat - I read MT Chitchat's terms, but when I went to read Probards's terms, I couldn't go anywhere. I am able to highlight the information and copy and paste at times (or just re-type it) into the "address" section and hit "go" and I usually get where I need to get, but it's really getting frustrating. At first, I thought this was a javascript problem because I had received an update invite for javascript a while ago and had started the update but it was taking too long, so I canceled it. So, I finally updated javascipt to the 5.11 version (which I believe is the current version). My hubby just installed 1GB of memory today to help my speed, as my puter is about three years old. He also said he tried to access a JPEG file and was unable to. He's a technical guru (for the U.S. Gov.) and he remembers we had this problem (or a very similar one) before, but he can't remember what we did to rectify it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Chucking the computer out the window is a good one, but I don't need a new puter (and don't want to have to deal with Vista), so that's not really an option! Thanks in advance. Maribeth P.S. I can't even "View all smilies" - I just get the hand with the finger - I'm ready to tell this finger where to go!!

Maribeth,
First I need to know are you using IE 7? I had problems with somethings when I first updated.

I had issues with IE 7 also. I chose to go with FireFox. Let me know what you find out Dawn.

I will Sue, but it looks like either she figured it out or just hasn't been back to chit-chat! I had problems when I updated and mine were in my Security and Privacy settings with some checkmarks in the Advanced section of Internet Options. I also had to go into my File Types and change some settings. I'm not sure if Maribeth has had any of these issues or not, but I thought I would start with the easier ones first. Maybe her husband figured it out for her. I refused to give up on IE7 when I got the problems, and I eventually figured it all out and now I really do like it. If you want to go back to IE7 maybe I can help you figure out your problem, seeing as how I had so many and now figured them out. Let me know!

Thanks for the offer, I figured out my problems too. I just decided that I liked Firefox better. I still use IE7 when I get to a website that does not work with FF. Thanks though. My problems were pretty much the same as yours.
