I have just completed my training to become a medical transcriptionist. I am in the process of getting hardware and software to start working from home.
First- Suggestions on the best transcribing software/hardware? Are there are any that are better than others?
Second- I will be buying a new laptop for work only, any suggestions on size and capabilities? I'm leaning towards a Dell Inspirion right now.

First - Bullocks. There are bull knows how many online platforms that various practices and companies are using. Just download Express Scribe for player and wait to hear from your employer what type of foot pedal you will need.
Second - Go with Dell.
