I know you all know what I mean. You just start off on the wrong foot for the day. I woke up yesterday to find out that my little sty had gotten out of control. Swelled up to the point where I could barely see. Like it isn't bad enough that I fired my girlie doc earlier this week and seeing a new one this morning. Oiy! The swelling of my eye has gone down considerably since yesterday, but it still looks like I have been through a few rounds in the boxing ring. I know some of these may sound silly, but they have actually helped in getting the swelling down. Tea bags. For some reason the green tea bags work better than the regular ones. Just warm one up, make sure it is still a little damp and then apply to your eye for several minutes. Usually after the several minutes the swelling reduces by almost half! Second is to boil an egg. Eggs tend to keep the heat a little longer than tea bags or warm towels. TIP: Don't use one tea bag, towel, or egg for both eyes. You don't want to have cross contamination. Please note that sometimes these home remedies don't work all the time and you may need to see your PCP. Please, if anyone else has any tips. Please post. TIA.
