www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/16/vtech.shooting/index.htmlI was just wondering what everyone thinks about what is going on with this.
I heard on the radio the other morning when a caller called in and said that they felt sorry for the shooter. Something about it is ashame that he didn't get the help that he needed.
Now, I don't know if I will go as far as saying that I feel sorry for him because then I will be lying about it. He planned this 6 days in advance, so to me he knew exactly what he was doing.
Although I really do want to know the meaning behind the 2 words that was written in red ink on his arm, "ISMAIL AX." I kind of want to know what is behind his logic of thinking on that one. I don't think that is was random, as it seems that everything else was so planned out.
Just want to see what others think about this situation.
~~Praying for the all the families that lost someone.~~

Here's my take on this horrible sadness: I hope the focus will be taken off the killer and turned towards a real issue...mental illness. I hope this illness will have more awareness and the stigma concerning this issue will go away. It obviously is a real health problem and needs to be taken seriously. I also hope and wish the media would stop showing this killer over and over and stop giving him so much attention. I wish they would change the focus over to the victims and their families.
This week is the anniversary of Waco, Columbine, and Oklahoma City. My heart is broken for all the families and friends of these victims.
Now, on a lighter side...I bet Imus and Howard K. Stern are glad to be off the hot seat. Okay, that was inappropriate for this topic but I am so sad and needed to change the subject.
Good day all,
LatteLucy

I agree with you LL. I think the attention is being put in the wrong direction. You are not hearing enough about the families that lost their loved ones. Instead you are hearing how horrible this guy is. Personally, after that day I couldn't watch the news anymore. I haven't watched it since the video was released on TV.
But you are right ... it does take Howard K. Stern out of the media for a "few minutes!"
