Hi everyone!! I'm planning to go home-based and I am having a very hard time looking for prospective clients willing to outsource. Any suggestions on which companies are willing to outsource/ hire someone not based in the US? Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm not sure what country you are from, or what country you want to get work from. But I can tell you this. Outsourcing is part of the problem of the economy. When the company I transcribed for outsourced, my work volumes decreased dramatically and I found myself with little to no work to do. I will not work for any company that outsources. I don't think it's right or fair to take the work away from citizens of the country the company is based in. Many companies do it so they can hire people on who will do the job for much less than the job is worth. Medical transcription is not easy, it's not easy to learn, and I think all transcriptionists should be paid more. Finding a company that will outsource will not be easy. I suggest that you look in your own country for opportunities.
