I have to agree with Kim. I also work for Chronicle. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Everyone that I have had to deal with there, from QA to the head of HR, has been wonderful. They are fairly small, but growing. When I hired in 2 weeks ago, they only had 40 transcriptionists on staff. I really like working for a smallish company.
When I need something, I just ask, like yesterday, I wasn't feeling too good, so I e-mailed the boss lady. She said that I could make up the 6 hours I was losing between today and tomorrow, and that she hoped I felt better soon. She also thanked me for offering to make up the hours I missed. (I'm PT status)
Anyone who is looking for a gig, they hire FT, PT and IC. Like Kimgrif said, they only hire US-based transcriptionists.

Kim, be sure to tell the company they are welcome to post help-wanted ads here. All they need to do is join, which is absolutely free. =)

Does Chronicle want you to work so many hours per week or do they send you audio minutes or hours to do?

Hi Barbara,
I'm sorry, I haven't been around much at all lately, I've been concentrating on my job!
At any rate, Chronicle asks that you commit to a certain amount of hours per week, and that you set a schedule you will reliably keep. I am scheduled for 25 hours/week, but I have ample opportunity to work more more than that if I want to do so.
Dictation is downloaded one job at a time, and the length of each job varies from a few seconds up to 15 minutes.
